Introducing PRF

The new and improved PRP facial rejuvenation treatment

What is Microneedling?

A series of 3 treatments are recommended, every 4 weeks about once a year.

Microneedling, also called Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) is an aesthetic medical procedure that involves repeatedly puncturing the skin with tiny, sterile needles that are the diameter of a hair follicle in order to induce collagen. Microneedling has been shown to increase the remolding of the skin by creating thousands of microscopic channels through the skin, to increase the formation of new tissue by activating the body’s wound healing system. It is also referred to as a non-ablative skin treatment. This means that the deeper parts of the skin are treated without removing the top layer of skin. It is designed to treat various skin conditions such as fine lines and wrinkles, light scarring from acne and photo damage, and to improve skin color and other skin texture changes.

Why Medical Mircroneedling With PRF?

See full description below. The addition of PRF includes a simple and quick blood draw. This blood is spun in a low-speed centrifuge to separate the red blood cells from the growth factors that can be used topically or injected by our nurse injector to stimulate collagen production and induce healing.

Introducing PRF, the new and improved PRP facial rejuvenation treatment

What is it PRF and how is it different from PRP?

The blood that is collected for PRF is spun in a special low-speed centrifuge to isolate the platelets and white blood cells from the red blood cells.
The tubes are devoid of any anticoagulant or additives. As a result,
fibrinogen molecules can be converted to thrombin into fibrin during the blood clot formation thus producing 10x the platelet production of PRP. Because there is no anticoagulant in the tube that the blood is collected, the plasma actually forms a platelet and white blood cell-rich fibrin scaffold once injected into the treatment area. The fibrin clot allows for a much slower and longer release of the growth factors and cytokines (up to 1 week versus few hours with PRP).

How Is PRF Used?

PRF is used to address many of the same issues as PRP, but PRF releases growth factors for much longer, up to one week, versus PRP which releases growth factors for a few hours. This means that PRF could have better longer-term benefits. The growth factors are what stimulate the stem cells to improve collagen and elastin in the skin. The platelets in PRF are thought to be more robust than those in PRP, and to therefore promote faster healing.

Medical Microinfusion

——Involves gold-plated hollow needles that can be stamped into the dermis at a particular length to create microchannels. The needles are connected to a glass vial that allows us to customize a "cocktail" of ingredients to achieve a soft, glowy, and youthful quality!

What Is Microinfusion?

We understand that not everyone wants to commit to a complete microneedling treatment, yet some may want some similar effects.  A microinfusion is an elegant and low-downtime treatment that is a form of microneedling.  It involves gold-plated hollow needles that can be stamped into the dermis at a particular length to create microchannels.  These needles are connected to a glass vial that allows us to customize a "cocktail" of ingredients to achieve a soft, glowy, and youthful quality .  Some of these ingredients may include but are not limited to neuromodulators (helps decrease sebum production aiding in decreased acne and also calms rosacea), hyaluronic acid, antioxidants + PRF.

How Long Do The Results Last?

Most patients see great results from just 1 treatment, that will last up to 3-4 months. Occasionally when is skin is very dry and wrinkled, we will recommend 2 treatments. Procedure can be done as often as every 1-3 months and doing several treatments throughout the year will continue to improve the overall appearance of skin.  Results are seen within 14 days.   It is recommended to not use retinol after this treatment as it can cause the effects of the treatment to wear off sooner than usual. The post-procedure glow makes it an ideal facial 7 days prior to an event.

How Does It Compare To Other Types of Microneedling?

Microinfusion is different from traditional microneedling.  Microinfusion improves the texture of the skin through the direct effect of tiny needle punctures, but it also painlessly delivers anti-aging and skin refining treatments through special channels in the nearly microscopic, hollowed up microneedles directly into the dermis. We are also able to target the exact depth of the skin we desire. This allows products to be placed within the precise layers of the skin, where pores and fine lines are, for precise treatment of these concerns. In a Microinfusion, we are injecting Botox in very small quantities throughout the face to improve fine lines, shrink pores and decrease redness. It will not relax muscles to prevent wrinkles the same way Botox injected into the forehead or crow’s feet. A Microinfusion Facial is a rejuvenation technique.
